The current model will gain a wide-body Hellcat variant.
There was exciting news about the next generation Dodge Challenger. The Challenger was a muscular car at heart. Its ancient Mercedes platform and heavy weight make it a heavy loader.
Fortunately, Dodge plans to fix some of these problems with the next model. But more importantly, sources confirmed that the next-generation Challenger will receive all-wheel drive.
The current Hellcat, although insanely fast, really has great difficulty bringing its power to the ground, which makes it a very shy car.
Speaking of which, Dodge also confirmed the introduction of a new Hellcat widebody model for the current model called the Challenger ADR. This car could be Dodge’s plan to send the modern Challenger to the sunset with a memorable model.
The addition of all-wheel drive also helps ensure that the Challenger does not earn a reputation as a mowing mob like its rival Ford Mustang.
